First-time install
Parse is in closed beta and isn’t code-signed yet. Your OS will show a one-time warning. Here’s the fix:
macOS
- 1.Open the .dmg, drag Parse into Applications.
- 2.Double-click Parse. macOS will say it can’t verify the developer — click Done.
- 3.Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to the bottom. Click “Open Anyway” next to Parse, enter your password.
- 4.Open Parse again — click “Open” in the final dialog. All future launches work normally.
Windows
- 1.Run the .exe. SmartScreen may flag it.
- 2.Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
- 3.Walk through the installer.
Linux
- 1.chmod +x Parse-*.AppImage
- 2.Double-click or run it from a terminal.
- 3.No install needed — it’s portable.
We’ll sign builds before general release. Until then, you can also use Parse in your browser.
